I'm going to Belize next month and was wondering if my cell phone will work there? How can I activate it?

You can check out your phone details on the manufacture's website (like motorola or whatever). You can also buy a cheap, unlocked GSM phone (which will NOT work on verizon but it will on cingular, t-mobile, or nextel in the states) so that you can use SIM cards and then buy a SIM card in Belize or preorder it for when you go down and wont have to search for it when you get there.

You would need to check with your service provider to see if they have roaming agreements with the carrier in Belize. Also, it will determine what band your cell phone can operate on.... 850, 900, 1800, 1900....
